The IBS team approach is built on the specific experiences in delivering operations management projects using agile change management methodology and tools that have been refined over many healthcare transformation projects. We work from the bottom-up, recognizing the importance of enabling the collection of timely and accurate flow data, as opposed to an assumption that existing data is sufficient to drive insight and outcomes. We start with analysis and modelling of processes and data, ensuing where possible that existing information and workflow can be harnessed. We involve front-line managers and staff in the analysis phase, as well as where possible doing user-research with patients, caregivers and family members. We ensure that user-experience is taken into account. This stakeholder management and communications approach is a key part of IBS’ change management methodology.
